#1: It can save itself.
If you’ve ever seen a winch fail, it’s likely due to overheating. The SYNCHRO™ motor changes this by featuring an advanced electronic controller that senses overload/overheating and can alert the user to a dangerous situation. The motor gives users an awareness of where the thermal limits exist and the power not to cross over them, potentially saving the winch motor and perhaps a whole lot more.
#2: Multispeeds.
Winches are geared to take advantage of a motor’s power curve. The result for the past 50 years has meant winches that are rather slow. SYNCHRO™ changes this with it’s advanced electronic controller that allow multiple speeds. What that means for users is a standard speed for precision winching operation and a Fast-Forward speed that makes cleanup downright zippy. Users of the ACE winch will notice two “winch-in” buttons on the remote control - one for precision and one for Fast-Forward.
#3: Up to 70% power savings.
The brushless design of the SYNCHRO™ motor is extremely efficient. So much so that power requirements have diminished significantly. A market leader with the same 1500 lbs. capacity pulling at full load burns 9.1 amps while the ultra-conservative NOVAWINCH ACE 1500 sips on just 3.0 amps at full load. What about speed you ask? Their 4.4 feet per minute is slower than our 5.9 feet per minute at full load. They just can’t keep up!
